About the Artist 

Ever Velasquez (b. 1981, Los Angeles, CA - she/her) is an artist and curandera based in Los Angeles. Known for her performance /photo series Baños and for her collage series, Ever's work uses the visual language of Yoruba religious culture to explore the legacy of colonialism and its interweaving with the Lucumi religion, which she practices.
