Kelly Ramnarine (She/Her) co-founded Queer SCV in late 2018. She wanted a safe space for the queer community to come together in Santa Clarita, rather than have to travel to L.A./West Hollywood. Queer SCV started hosting regular events such as craft nights, game nights, visits to the LA Zoo and The Gibbon Centre, pub quiz and beach trips to name a few. When the pandemic hit, Queer SCV continued to operate with online events and host events every 1st Thursday and 3rd Sunday. These events include book club, trivia nights, game nights, movies and chillOUT. Queer SCV also created a space for queer youth called Teen HangOUT in collaboration with SCV libraries.
